Growth Mindset Ideas
Chances of success expands as your focus narrows.
Doing many things, wishing to do many things, is overwhelming. More often it leads to inaction. It gives a wrong sense of importance equality and affects the quality.
Imagine you treating all your relationships equal. It will want you to focus on all relationships with the same energy, time, and intensity. None of the relations are going to flourish the way you want. Choose relationships that inspires you, makes you want to become a better person. Focus and flourish them.
Imagine trying every other nutrition plan out there. Weight loss, weight gain, vegan, protein, keto...the list is endless. Nutrition plan that you cannot stick to for years together will not do any good to you. Instead focus on one nutrition plan that you can follow long term without depending on external motivators. Focus and improve your health.
I come across many people who want to build their social media, start a youtube channel, start a podcast, launch a startup, or launch a newsletter. All need different skill sets, focus, time, and energy. Choose what matters and improve the chances of success.

How to avoid bad decisions?
As someone having a strong bias to take actions, I'm always focused on learning new ways to make better decisions. And ways to prioritize my actions.
Sure we all want to make good decisions, and we hope those are right as well. At least right for us. But avoiding bad decisions plays an important role in different outcomes as much as making right decisions.
Like Warren Buffet's advice about investing, first rule is, "Don't lose money."
Rule about making good decisions is, to avoid making bad ones.
From my experience of making bad decisions, few things are always common in all bad decisions. Bad decisions are,
Driven by emotions,
Made without using facts, data
Problem or solution defined by someone else
Not considering different perspectives or data sources
When you are aware of what causes bad decisions you are more likely to recognize the pattern and use it to make better decisions.
How to avoid making bad decisions,
Respond, don't react. Don't make any decisions when angry, sad, or tired. Also, there are very few 'urgent' decisions, take time to collect yourself, gather necessary information, sometimes courage and then go for it.
Define the problem you are solving for. Don't let anyone else define it for you.
Don't take anything at face value. Get clarity on the information needed, where to source that information, how to verify it, and then make a decision.
Look for patterns. Is this decision made in past before? by whom? Are those similar situations similar? Did people share same values as you do? What drove them to make those decisions?
And the most important reminder,
PS: My decision of releasing a paid version of Rich Tales is on hold. Me being able to commit my time & energy for it long term is the major reason, also it hasn’t felt the ‘good decision’. Yet. :)
