Your Team will Not Win
by playing zero-sum game. And seven things you just promised to deliver to your manager will not get delivered if you don't write them down.
Growth Mindset Ideas
Your team will not win, you will not win, by playing zero-sum games.
It is astronomically surprising how many people think success as a one big pie. Where one must take a large slice to fulfil their ambition.
A limiting perspective that forces every interaction to be a frame of win-lose battle. How many problems remain unsolved?, how many relationships that could've been? How many diverse experiments world could've seen? Only if we choose abundance mindset over scarcity.
Insecurity of less for me, limits creative problem solving, stunting progress, and inhibiting one's own growth potential. What a waste hindering personal growth, possibility of wonderful & meaningful relationships, and possibility of creating powerful impact on the world!
Redefine success.
By breaking free from the zero-sum mindset. Open yourself to new ideas, perspectives. Collaborate with people who think different from you, design innovate solutions. Make a positive impact in the world by redefining success as win-win.
Don’t play with people who think your win is their loss. Life is not a zero-sum game. #Growth Mindset
Life lessons that you can’t afford to ignore
Write everything down.
Science about human memory suggests that we have a memory recall at best 25%. That means whatever we 'experience' i.e. read, hear, think, observe we recall only 25% of it.
So, when someone from the team promises to deliver without writing their plans, tasks down, I know there will be gaps.
When I listen to the clients sharing their action plans before our next session without them writing it. I know they will come back with gaps from their plans vs outcomes.
I am a serial note taker. ;)
It simplifies my life by organizing itself on the time scale.
We have lists for everything at home. From events, activities, meal plans, to shopping lists. The week we don't do meal plans, is the week we are more stressed about what to eat and where to eat. And often eat more junk food than planned weeks.
Stop trying to remember things and write everything down.
Use your phone notes app or better yet, carry post-it notes with you.
The old fashioned paper-pen still works wonders.
