Why some people achieve the impossible and others don't?
One VC turned founder I am coaching says that they were wildly successful as an investor, now want to be a successful founder.
Another startup leader who 'have been part of two successful and one failed startup, starting their own venture. Want to focus on learning new skills and mindset shift needed from being an employee to a business owner.
Coaching these individuals is an honor. It is an intense, intimidating, and inspiring journey. With two different coaching conversations we arrived at the exploration of "what does success look like?
Two clients are from different countries/continents. Here is what that exploration resulted into what does Impossible Success looks like,
Embracing Imperfection
Be it a product, services you are selling or you as an individual. Wild success is being comfortable with what you've built, where you are, and the journey ahead.
Purpose > Pleasure OR Long Term > Short Term
Words are different, with the same essence. Purpose driven people achieve bigger, impossible things than people who focus on things that everyone else are chasing.
Writing your own rules
Success and related happiness does not look same for everyone. Wildly successful people sometimes appear overworked, experiment with unconventional ways. They re-write what can or can-not be.
Practicing Gratitude
People who are achieve success beyond others can imagine are equitably thankful for the opportunities, challenges, people who support as well as critics.
Impossible success is about experimenting with conventional ways. Courage to re-write rules, and relentlessly focusing on purpose without giving in to praises or critics along the way. #ImpossibleSuccess Mindset
Life lessons that you can’t afford to ignore
Hindsight is always 20/20
Given a chance, what would you like tell your younger self? Its an interesting question. Unveils perspective, and tells a lot about person's journey.
Answers like 'Buy Apple share' or 'Buy Crypto' amuses me. It tells regrets, wishful thinking, lost opportunities, and at times the tendency of reminiscing the past.
Life is a magical path, certainly not linear. Looking back, breathtaking patterns emerge. What we often forget while looking back is, what we know now, wasn't known then.
Obvious was not so obvious back then.
There is no point in holding onto regrets from the past. You are masterpiece in progress. Take the learnings from your experience and paint your future with courage. Let go, and grow.
