Accuracy Or Speed?
I’ve been building software products and programs for over 15 years now. And lot of decisions during the process of building involves choosing a speed or accuracy for the completion. Sure, accuracy is not optional for a functional product, however functional product itself requires speed to get to complete stage.
So how does one choose? Or should they?
Accuracy is often a reflection of attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.
Speed is often a reflection of efficiency, capacity, and responsiveness to changing situations and demands.
Strike a balance someone would say. Contrary to the balanced view, my choice has always been the accuracy. Get things right, then improve to get it done faster.
Learning how to add numbers accurately is more important than to get an answer in seconds. Once you know how to add, there are greater chances that you’ll look for ways to add faster. For individuals as well as for groups, larger, long term success would happen when quality of work is no doubt. Unlike fast delivery with errors, where multiple iterations will eventually drop the speed as well as harm the credibility.
Build credibility with accuracy. Build performance with speed.
Get things right first, then iterate for speed. #HighPerformanceMindset
Life lessons that you can’t afford to ignore
How to build a strong and successful relationship with anyone? (*anyone who matters)
Life is hard enough. Family, friends, and people around us make it either enjoyable or miserable.
And no, Love is not the answer for good relationships. Love is NOT the core element of any relationship. We all have a need to belong. And relationships help us fulfill that need.
From all my successful and failed relationships, and what I’ve seen from people around me what makes relationships stronger, long-lasting, and enjoyable is Respect and Acceptance.
Respect: Respect individuality, opinions, and boundaries. Respect their choices, values, and personal space.
Acceptance: Accept them for who they are, without judgment. Don’t try to change them. And encourage them to express themselves authentically.
Be a friend who respects and accepts.
